Sven Kohl

Sven Kohl is an officially recognized physical therapist and licensed fitness trainer. He is the founder of Calisthenic Movement and has trained in calisthenics since 2012. Sven worked as a physiotherapist for several years and trains personal clients and leads group courses, with over 15 years of experience as a trainer. He has over 2 years experience in boxing and a long history of over 15 years of weight training.
Motto: We are not entitled to success - we have to earn it.

  • What is the difference between Mobility and Mobility 2.0?

    Mobility 2.0 is not just a simple upgrade of the old Mobility program. It's completely new designed from scratch. You have a lot more exercises, a different system of how the exercises are combined, way more variety through different flows and most important a huge time saving. The key improvement are follow along videos, so you simply have to press play and follow along. We also focused on shorter workout sessions, so most of the time you're done in 10 to 20 minutes, but never more than 35. In addition we also added some detailed knowledge videos about mobility and more detailed explanation videos for the exercises. All exercises are spread over the complete course and you don't have to remember the right execution of all exercises at once. Mobility 2.0 is also 8 weeks longer. So instead of 24 weeks, you can now work for 32 weeks. Another new feature are "MOD-Weeks" in which you learn modifications of the exercises you already know, so you can set your creativity free and learn to move beyond the scope of this program.


  • What is the focus of the Mobility 2.0 program?

    Mobility 2.0 is a comprehensive program that aims to improve your mobility, stability, strength and coordination. Every training session will cover all of the major joints of your body and some extra moves that combine several goals. In the beginning, you will learn easy basic exercises that build the foundation for improving specific coordinative abilities and increasing your ranges of motion over time. Throughout the program, you will progress towards more advanced exercises over a preparation phase and 3 following levels. You can easily access the Mobility 2.0 program on your smartphone, where the quality of the instructional videos meets the highest standards of our recent YouTube videos. Use the follow along videos to easily comply with the schedule.


  • Which equipment do I need?

    For the Mobility 2.0 program, you need something to hang from, like a pull-up bar or a pair of rings. Additionally, you will need a stick or a towel. When it comes to optional (but not mandatory) equipment you may need something to support your bodyweight, like a chair or a similar object. Additional weights like small weight plates or everyday objects like a bottle of water and resistance bands are also optional tools you can use to adapt the difficulty of the exercises.


  • How time-demanding is the program?

    All workouts vary in each level and phase. When doing the follow along videos with the preset rest times, some workouts can be completed after only about 7 minutes, while others need about 35 minutes, but you will never train longer than this.


  • How long do I have access to the course?

    How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like, across all devices you own.


  • How long does it take until I get better?

    Improvement depends on your current level, your lifestyle, stress, sleep patterns, your coordinative abilities, and other factors. You should normally see progress within about a few weeks, but this timeframe can also be faster or slower. If you feel your progress is slower, and you can't fulfill the requirements for the next level, you can always repeat your current level to improve.


  • Is this program gender-specific?

    No. This program is ideal for anyone who wants to improve their mobility, flexibility, stability and coordination . The program allows all users to adapt each exercise to their level, no matter their gender.


  • Is it possible to follow the program and do additional sports at the same time?

    This is a highly individual decision. Most people should be able to practice other sports at the same time, but it comes down to your personal circumstances. As mobility is not very taxing it shouldn't be a problem to use it as warm up or cool down (for another training) or to do it as a stand alone training session. Of course you can still make mobility exercises pretty hard and if you come close to your limit, it can get taxing and might interfere with other training goals. So if you don't overdo it with the difficulty you should be fine doing other sports at the same time.


  • When does the course start and finish?

    You can start the course whenever you are ready. You will train for 32 weeks from your start date, but you can also repeat any single level of the program.
